HOW TO PLAY
- 1Put your right thumb on middle C. Most beginner songs stay under five fingers — you never move your hand.
- 2Set the speed down and turn CLICK on. Press each key exactly when the note reaches the line.
- 3Loop the bar that keeps breaking until it feels easy, then add the left hand and take the speed back up.
LYRICS
You did n’t have to (Am)be so nice.
I would have liked you (C7)an y way,
if you had just looked (Am)once or twice
and gone up on your (C7)qui et way.
To day said the time was right for me to (F)fol low you.
I knew I’d find you in a (F)day or two (C7)and it’s true.
You came up on a (Am)qui et day.
You sim ply seemed to (C7)take your place.
I knew that it would (Am)be that way
the min ute that I (C7)saw your face.
And when we’ve had a (Am)few more days,
I won der if I’ll (C7)get to say,
“You did n’t have to (Am)be so nice,
I would v’e liked you (C7)an y way.”
To day said the time was right for me to (F)fol low you.
I knew I’d find you in a (F)day or two (C7)and it’s true.
You did n’t have to (Am)be so nice.
I would have liked you (C7)an y way,
if you had just looked (Am)once or twice
and gone up on your (C7)qui et way.
