TAKE IT OFF THE SCREEN
Print the sheet for the piano stand, or load the MIDI into any app and practise at your own tempo.
HOW TO PLAY
- 1Put your right thumb on middle C. Most beginner songs stay under five fingers — you never move your hand.
- 2Set the speed down and turn CLICK on. Press each key exactly when the note reaches the line.
- 3Loop the bar that keeps breaking until it feels easy, then add the left hand and take the speed back up.
LYRICS
I (F6)know I stand in line to un til you (Fmaj7)think you have the (F)time to spend an (Gm7)eve nin’ with (C9)me.
And (Gm7)if we go some (C7)place to dance, I (Gm7)know that there’s a (C7)chance you won’t be (Fmaj7)leav in’ with me.
Then (F7)af ter wards we (Cm7)drop in to a (F7)qui et lit tle place and have a (Bb6)drink or so two.
And then (C7)I go and spoil it all by (Gm7)say in’ some thin’ (C7)stu pid, like “I (C7)love (F)you.”
I can (F7)see it in your (Cm7)eyes that you des (F7)pise the same old lines you heard the (Bb)night be fore.
And (F7)though it’s just a (Dm7)line to you, for (F7)me it’s true and nev er seemed so (C7)right be fore.
I love (F)you.”
