PARENT'S PRAYER

I guess we have al ways (B7)known

that a (Em7)day all like this one would come,

when our chil dren (D)would leave us

when and be (Am7)gin to build a home of their own.

Lord, all You have taught (F#m7)us

we have (Em7)day You gave passed on to them.

But one thing (D)we don’t know dear Je sus, how the (Am7)place them back in Your arms a gain.

Lord, help us (E)let go of two that they might be come one,

(B7sus)just like the (B7)Fa ther, (A)Spir (E)it and Son.

(C#m)Two hearts in vis i bly bound (F#m7)in love by a (A)vow that will not be un done.

I Now in your ten der (B7)care,

Lord, a (Em7)be all that we can not be.

And our help us (D)to trust You

when and be (Am7)see You quick ly meet ing their needs.

For You have pro vid (F#m7)ed

since the (Em7)day You gave our dren to us.
